MGO beneficial for shorter voyages

Wagenborg’s magazine Details published an article on the newly build MV Jade in the last December edition. The article tells the story of the MV Jade, its captain owner Fabian de Jonge and his choice for a smaller scaled vessel and shorter voyages of three to four days.

Interesting to read is that Fabian deliberately decided to sail on MGO, as he is of the opinion that sailing on HFO is not beneficial for these voyages. Other captain-owners share the same opinion and chose for only sailing on MGO, an upcoming trend within the short sea trade.

The popular magazine Details contains articles and incoming letters to the editor of and for employees of Koninklijke Wagenborg. Four edition appear per year with a circulation of 3650 copies, spread amongst employees of Wagenborg and interested organizations. Attention is paid to the various business units of the company, being shipping, offshore, projects & logistics, passenger transport, road transport (Reining), heavy lifting (Nedlift) and the joint venture Bahwan Wagenborg.
